Shopping in Menlo Park – Jewelry, Art, Clothes and More

Located just two left turns from the Stanford Shopping Center and home to several boutique shops and art galleries, the Allied Arts Guild of Menlo Park gives visitors to the Palo Alto area a scenic place to relax, have lunch or see some of the best local art around. These lovely artisan shops sell various goods like handmade jewelry, pottery, ceramics, clothing, handbags, Italian dishes and children’s specialties. Patrons of the Allied Arts Guild love wandering into the boutiques to find jewelry, paintings and other goods being created right in front of their eyes. This shopping area should not be missed when traveling through San Mateo.

Manicured gardens, historic Spanish architecture, patios, courtyard ponds and fountains have made the Allied Arts Guild a photographer’s dream—it’s nearly impossible to get a bad shot of the gorgeous grounds. The Garden of Delight, also known as the Blue Garden, is situated a few steps away from the cafe and features hydrangeas, Nile lilies, aster and salvia. A bubbling blue-tiled fountain in the middle of the garden provides soothing background sound. The Court of Abundance is another Allied Arts Guild garden and has orange trees along with marigolds, wallflowers and nasturtiums. Original mosaics and artwork adorns the property, creating a unique ambiance difficult to find in the hustle and bustle of Silicon Valley.

Wedding Venue – Event Facility – Meeting Space

Allied Arts Guild’s incredible scenery and oasis-like nature have made it a popular venue for weddings, receptions and other events for large groups. Indoor and outdoor facilities are available, depending on the weather and size of group. The indoor rooms can accommodate groups of as few as 20 or as many as 100. For corporate meetings, the Allied Arts Guild provides a quiet place for groups to focus with plenty of walking paths for strolling around during breaks.
