San Mateo County Schools & Education Resources

Full of parks, schools, event centers, beaches and business services, San Mateo County is a wonderful place to both live and work. The Department of Parks, run by San Mateo County, operates 17 different parks and various trails that make enjoying the outdoors with friends and family easy. This heavily residential community is also home to four colleges, 16 high schools, nine intermediate schools, 10 middle schools and 24 elementary schools in 25 different school districts. San Mateo County's commitment to education is apparent in the public library system that runs more than 20 different branches.
